How The UK National Lottery Money Is Allocated

At least 45% of each UK National Lottery Game draw sales, subject to rounding down, is allocated to a prize fund for payment of prizes for that draw. All Match 3 prize winners will receive £10, [except in the extremely unlikely event that the prize fund is insufficient to give all these winners £10 each]. Should this ever occur the entire UK National Lottery prize fund for that week would be divided equally between the total number of winners in all categories.

UK National Lottery prize money is allocated to all other prize categories and is shared between all the winners in that category.

Following payment of the Match 3 prizes, the remaining Prize Fund, now termed the Pools Fund, is divided as follows:

  • Match 6 main numbers 52% of the pool fund paid.
  • Match 5 main numbers plus Bonus Ball 16% of pool fund paid.
  • Match 5 main numbers 10% of pool fund paid.
  • Match 4 main numbers 22% of pool fund paid.
